Portrait

This is my violin, Augustus.
Named after my great grandfather who used to play it in a
dory at night in the ocean with his pet cat.
It sat in pieces in a box in my parents room while I was growing up.
My Mother had it repaired- played it and eventually gave it to me.
It has a fake Stradivarius label inside.

    1. time I'm afraid- the wood splits with changes in humidity. Sometimes it's fun to think of something more dramatic though ;)

    2. Time takes its toll on so many things, myself included. Sigh.
