Color and Shape

Playing around with color and shape for a bit of down time today.
Now.... how to get those tomatoes to stay up on the wall ;)

Check out Carole's Blog! this weekend for the drawing challenge "Crow"...oh I wish I could partake!
but I'll be following along to see one of my favorite birds (el banditio di nero) in many forms and shapes.
Have a good weekend!

  1. Wonderful juxtaposition of colors, objects, and photos! Can you tell us more about the square/diamonds? Size, material, and process? Did you create them?

  5. Dear Kristen,
    love your colour play!
do you know Robert and Sonia Delauney? They were painters but even Sonia created fabrics with colours in simultaneous contrasts.

Your cross stitch is also fantastic... that bird... could be a Crow.

I have to follow that bird too, tomorrow.

    Love
    Ariane.

  6. Hi! the paintings (top) are acrylic, lots of layers on masonite board- I think 6"by6"- I think about making a few more to create different patterns...and yes the Delauney's! especially Sonia- I am inspired by quilts...which kind of relates to the stitching sea star :)

Thank you so much for your kind words!!
